Welcome to Gisborne

Gisborne City is the most easterly city in the world, and is the first to welcome the sunshine each day. Explore the city from our centrally located property, only minutes from the palm-shaded city center, where you can stroll along the manicured city riverbanks, lunch at a choice of cafes overlooking the inner harbour or dine at one of the many top class restaurants.

We are also situated in close proximity to Gisborne Airport, hospital, one of New Zealand's best golf courses and are only minutes away from an excellent restaurant and winery.

Renowned for its excellent surfing breaks, perfect swimming beaches and miles of untouched coastline, the Gisborne and Eastland Region is famous as New Zealand's coastal playground.

The Colonial on Gladstone Motel is the perfect base for exploring some of the delights on offer. Recognised as the chardonnay capital of New Zealand, Gisborne has a number of boutique wineries that produce many of New Zealand's world-class, award winning wines. Visit the world-renowned Eastwoodhill Arboretum or the Morere Hot Springs set among the native bush.

Take a short drive on the Pacific Coast Highway, and visit the historic Tolaga Bay Wharf and Cooks Cove Walkway. Gisborne also offers a range of soft adventure activities including horse trekking, bush walks, trout fishing, and deep sea fishing, diving, kayaking and snorkeling with sharks.

We look forward to welcoming you to Gisborne.
